Rock bottom Big Bite came up against Chesham Mobiles in the first game of the week. Toss was won by Big Bite Chesham who elected to bowl first and hoped to add a win to their season.
Chesham Mobiles started off all guns blazing scoring 52 runs off the first 4 overs after hitting to all parts. Big Bite did however restrict the following 2 partnerships to a respectable 64 runs but were then hit a further 78 runs taking the total to 194 runs, which looked like job well done for a weakened Big Bite outfit. Big blaster Tajamal Hussain top scored for Chesham Mobiles with 34 runs from 12 balls and Dr Rauhan was pick of the bowlers for Big Bite with 5 for 0.
In reply, Big Bite struggled as expected scoring just 15 runs off the first partnership and the subsequent pairings could not do much to help the teams case. Pairings two and three put on 59 runs between them taking the score to 74 meaning the final 2 pairs had to average out at 60.5 runs each to take their side to a win. They however only managed 36 runs between them and managing a team total of 110. Ali Nawaz top scored for Big Bite with 23 runs and Waheed was pick of the bowlers with 5 for 12.
Chesham Mobiles won by a comfortable 84 runs margin. Man of the Match was Tajamal Hussain whop scored 34 runs with the bat and conceded 0 runs albeit without claiming a wicket.
Week 7 ended with an encounter between the long serving Kashmiri Panthers and the table toppers Lahore Tigers. Kashmiri Panthers skipper Ahsan Maqbool won the toss and elected to bowl.
Lahore Tigers opening partnership started off brightly seeing off the new ball and scoring at high rates per over. They gave the perfect start to a game scoring 54 runs off the first partnership. The following partnership although were given out on 7 occasions still managed to score 31 runs and put the Tigers in a good position. The following 2 partnerships scored a further 93 runs to take the team total too 178 runs which was already an above par score. The final partnership took the score to beyond 200 after a 44 run partnership. Tanvir Butt top scored with 37 runs off 15 runs and Shuayb was pick of the bowlers with 3 for 9.
In reply Kashmiri Panthers were on the back foot scoring at below the required run rate, ending up on just 13 runs after the 4 overs. The following 2 partnerships put on 75 runs between them but leaving a huge mountain to climb for the final 2 partnerships. The 4th partnership was also pushed back after they managed just 4 runs in their allotted overs and being given out on 4 occasions. The final partnership were given a huge task and manahed to score 26 runs. Skipper Ahsan Maqbool top scored with 23 runs despite facing 26 balls, Rohith was the star bowler taking 4 wickets for -14.
Lahore Tigers came out victorious winning by a 104 run margin. Rohith Shylendra was awarded man of the match for his 14 runs with the bat and 4 for -14.
