The first match of the second round was between the top of the table, Big Bite 2 and Chesham Mobiles, who unfortunately found themselves at the bottom of the pile. Big Bite 2 won the toss and decided to bat first. The captain of the Chesham Mobiles team decided to take the new ball in his own hands and bowled a handy over which only conceded 3 runs. However, BB2 came into their own from the very next over after smashing it for 24 runs. BB2 started their innings building and before you knew it, they were standing high and mighty on their massive score of 271 in their 20 overs. The highest scorer for the Big Bite team was the captain, Ibrar with 32 runs and the most economical bowler was Hafiz Raheem who conceded 17 runs in his 2 overs.
In reply Chesham Mobiles team started struggling from ball one and only managed to put up 3 runs in their first 4 overs. The 2nd pair batted sensibly and put together 53 runs for the team but things started going wrong again straight after and the final 3 partnerships only managed 19 runs in the 12 overs they played. Chesham Mobiles ended their innings on 75, from which Sheraz was the highest scorer with 21 runs. The best bowler, and the man of the match was Ibby Hanif with a massive difference on 40 runs.
Next up was Big Bite facing Lahore Tigers 2 who were having a good run with 2 wins in a row. Lahore Tigers won the toss and the captain decided to bat first on this occasion which seemed like it was a food idea after the first pair finished their batting. They put on 60 runs in their 4 overs, giving the Tigers a solid start. The 2nd pair weren’t as successful though and only managed 13 runs. The Big Bite bowlers picked up momentum from there onwards and kept all the rest of the partnerships below 30 runs, hence restricting the tigers to 140 even after the great start. The highest scorer for the Tigers was Zeeshan Ali who scored 21 runs for the team and Ali Nawaz from Watford was the best bowler of the innings with figures of -6 for 4 wickets.
Big bite started off nicely and to be fair, they
never looked under any kind of pressure throughout the innings. The innings by
the Big Bite team was built in orderly fashion and they never looked like they
might lose the game. They finished their innings on 218 and TJ, the man in
form, was their highest scorer once again, 4th time in a row. All
the bowlers from Lahore Tigers 2 struggled a little and only one bowler was in
single figures in the end, Aneel Ahmed who picked up 3 wickets for 1 run. Man
of the match was Ali Nawaz in this game.
The third match of the day was another one sided encounter when the Kashmiri Panthers from Wycombe took on Chesham Ittefaq. The Panthers won the toss and decided to bat first. They got off to a flyer when the openers scoring 66 runs thanks to some very good running between the wickets. It didn’t stop their though, the second pair came in and turned the heat on again soring 2 more runs than their openers. Chesham Ittefaq pegged I back a little in the middle overs but the last 2 partnerships did well to take the Panthers to a huge 228 in their 20 overs. Highest scorer was Ahsan with a well scored 43 and the best bowler was Shahid who took a wicket for the expense of 4 runs.
Requiring a good start to stand any chance of winning, Chesham Ittefaq had a nightmare start when the openers only managed 4 runs in their 4 overs. Things carried on as they started with no partnership really being able to take off properly. The highest partnership of Chesham Ittefaq was a disappointing 38 runs. Captain, Khalid Bashir made the highest, 19 runs and Amer Khan had the best figures who took 5 wickets for -12. Man of the Match was Ahsan Maqbool one more time with a huge difference of 51 runs.

Lahore Tigers started off with their regular openers who gave them a nice start putting together 60 runs in their allotted overs. Other partnershios followed suit and played solidly. The only partnership that didn’t work was the 4th one which managed 5 runs in their 4 overs. At the end of their innings, Lahore Tigers found themselves on a very defendable 197. The highest scorer was Billy Ahmed with 28 runs.
Starting off the chase for The Generals was their captain, Ali Jin Khan and their new signing Hassan Taj. Needing a strong start, The Generals found themselves in a big mess when they scored -7 runs in their very first over. Things got bad to worse when the second over ended on -1. The Generals recovered slightly in the net partnership who put together 39 runs. Although the last 3 partnerships weren’t too bad, but The Generals were constantly falling short on the required run rate, hence the pressure was mounting every over. Their innings ended on 150 and Lahore Tigers added a much needed 2 points to their tally. Fakhar Sherazi was the highest scoring batsman with 28 runs while Shaan Butt was the best bowler who picked up 4 wickets for -7 runs. Man of the match award went to billy Ahmed for this game.
